Eight held for duping Kashi Vishwanath pilgrims in name of easy darshan
VARANASI, Aug. 3 -- Eight people were taken into police custody on Sunday for allegedly misbehaving with pilgrims and collecting money in the name of facilitating easy darshan at the Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple. A team of police identified the people involved in misbehaving with the pilgrims by examining a CCTV footage and ensured action against them. Assistant commissioner of police Dashashwamedh Atul Anjan Tripathi also confirmed that CCTV footage helped identify the accused. Preventive action under Sections 170, 126 and 135 of the BNSS was taken against Pawan Chaurasia ,25, Akash Pandey ,22, Bhupendra Yadav ,24, Shivam Pandey ,25, Sanskar Keshari ,22, and three others. Further legal action is underway....
