Dy CM upset over poor hygiene at Sidhauli CHC
Lucknow, March 18 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Tuesday told medical staff at Sidhauli Community Health Centre to stay back at their workplace until facilities improved. He also asked officials to cut the payment of the cleaning agency after observing poor hygiene on the premises.
It was the second consecutive day when Pathak took stock of health facilities provided at CHCs. A day earlier, he visited the Chinhat CHC in Lucknow.
Brajesh Pathak went to Sidhauli CHC in Sitapur, and was upset over the poor sanitation facility. He directed officials to issue notice to the cleaning agency and withhold one week's payment. Deputy CM expressed his displeasure upon observing the poor sanitation conditions and drinking water facilities. "Do not leave the premises until the systems and facilities at the centre showed marked improvement," he told senior officials on duty. He arrived at the Sidhauli CM to conduct a surprise inspection and inquired about the well being of the patients and sought feedback regarding their specific medical requirements.
The Deputy CM expressed his displeasure upon observing long queues of patients waiting for X-rays. He ordered the generator to be switched on immediately, thereby enabling the commencement of X-ray services. He also issued directives to rectify and improve the drinking water supply system.
"Providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of the state remains the government's top priority. No negligence would be tolerated under any circumstances," said Pathak....
