Dy CM Pathak calls for 'model hospital' in state
LUCKNOW, Aug. 13 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday called for setting up a 'model hospital' in the state to set benchmarks in quality, affordability, technology and patient care.
Speaking at the 8th CII Uttar Pradesh Health Summit 2026 in Lucknow, Pathak said healthcare must be viewed not just as a growing sector, but as a public responsibility rooted in service to humanity.
"Uttar Pradesh has made significant progress in strengthening healthcare infrastructure, but the true test is whether quality care reaches every person, irrespective of where they live or their ability to pay," he said.
The deputy CM also flagged concerns over children and youth health, citing sedentary lifestyles, poor diet, late nights and academic pressure as growing risks.
