Lakhimpur Kheri, June 6 -- In compliance of the Supreme Court order regarding wildlife protection on roads passing through the core or critical tiger habitats, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR) authorities have imposed a complete ban on all vehicular movement except ambulance from dusk to dawn on the crucial Dudhwa-Gauriphanta road from Friday evening. Jagdish R, deputy director, DTR, told HT that in compliance of the order and subsequent directions from V Hekali Zhimomi, principal secretary, environment, forest and climate, all vehicular traffic on the 25-km long stretch will remain closed every day from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. He said only ambulances and emergency vehicles would be allowed to move during the restricted hours on the said road....
