DSMNRU named nodal centre for ISRO outreach programmes
LUCKNOW, June 19 -- Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU) has been designated as the nodal centre for Indian Space Research Organisation's National Educational Outreach Programmes, providing students, researchers and faculty direct access to space science and remote sensing experts. Under the initiative, the university will coordinate online and offline training programmes conducted by ISRO's Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. The courses will cover satellite technology, earth observation, digital mapping, disaster management, environmental studies and geospatial data applications.
Assistant professor Vinay Kumar Singh of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has been appointed nodal coordinator. University officials said the collaboration will enhance scientific learning and research opportunities while enabling students to interact with leading scientists and experts from across the country. htc...
