Lucknow, July 13 -- A donation box containing cash offerings was allegedly stolen from the renowned Baba Budheshwar Temple in Lucknow's Para area early on Sunday, marking the second theft reported from the temple premises within four days. According to police and temple authorities, the theft came to light when the temple priest arrived to open the shrine in the morning and found the donation box missing. The box is believed to have contained thousands of rupees donated by devotees. The temple management immediately informed the Para police, who reached the spot, inspected the scene and launched an investigation. The incident comes just days after a temple bells were allegedly stolen from the same shrine. In that case, police had arrested a temple attendant during the investigation and sent him to jail.
