LUCKNOW, June 26 -- The KGMU has completed its inquiry against a resident doctor of the orthopaedics department accused of referring a female patient to a private hospital in exchange for a commission. The inquiry report has been forwarded to the state government for further action, said KGMU spokesperson Prof KK Singh on Thursday. He said the resident doctor completed his studies during the inquiry and was posted to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday under the mandatory service bond. The case relates to Kamlesh Devi of Ambedkar Nagar, who suffered a hip fracture and was admitted to KGMU on June 6. Her family alleged that a resident doctor persuaded them to shift her to a private hospital in Alambagh, promising better treatment.
