LUCKNOW, July 5 -- The works of noted wash painting artist Prof Sukhbir Sanghal will soon be available through a digital archive, scheduled to go live on July 14 to mark his 112th birth anniversary. The archive has been developed by his granddaughter, Priyam Chandra, who left her job as a software engineer in the United States in 2020 to document and preserve Sanghal's artistic legacy. The digital archive has been created under the Sukhbir Sanghal Art Foundation with the aim of making the artist's works and archival material accessible to researchers, students and art enthusiasts. Drawing on digital preservation practices she observed in the United States, Chandra has sought to compile documents and artworks that were previously available only through physical collections.
