LUCKNOW, Aug. 19 -- Hemraj Meena, deputy inspector general, Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science, escaped unhurt after his official vehicle was hit from behind by a car on Shaheed Path near Husadiya Crossing in Gomti Nagar on Tuesday afternoon, triggering a chain collision involving another vehicle. According to police, Meena's vehicle was travelling near the crossing when a four-wheeler approaching from behind rammed into it. The impact pushed the DIG's vehicle into another car moving ahead. The rear portion of the DIG's vehicle was damaged in the collision. The driver of the vehicle that allegedly hit the DIG's vehicle was detained and his car was impounded. However, the driver of the car that was hit after the initial collision reportedly fled the spot with his vehicle. Police teams reached the spot after receiving information and began collecting details about the sequence of events and the vehicles involved. No casualty was reported in the incident....
