DICs important bridge between policy and ground implementation: IIDC
Lucknow, May 26 -- Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Deepak Kumar on Monday said District Industries Commissioners (DICs) are an important bridge between policy formulation and on-ground implementation.
Kumar inaugurated a five-day capacity building workshop for district industries commissioners, joint commissioners of industries, regional managers and nodal officers of Industrial Development Authorities at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar said transparent governance, strong law and order and proactive investor support have become key pillars of Uttar Pradesh's industrial transformation. He urged officials to mentor entrepreneurs, strengthen ODOP initiatives and adopt global best practices to accelerate inclusive industrial growth across the state.
The workshop marks the commencement of the third and final batch of the ongoing state-level programme designed around the 'Learning Journey of DICs'. Around 122 officials have already been trained under the initiative aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving the state's Ease of Doing Business framework.
During the five-day programme, participants will receive training in behavioural leadership, finance and investment governance, startup ecosystem dev, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and communication strategies....
