Bahraich, Sept. 22 -- In light of several recent attacks on humans by wild animals, senior forest officials from three districts have been deployed in Bahraich to strengthen rescue operations, said additional principal chief conservator of forests/chief conservator of forests (Central Zone) Dr Renu Singh. Dr Singh inspected the affected villages under Kaiserganj Range of Bahraich Forest Division on Sunday. She was accompanied by conservator of forests Semmaran M, divisional forest officer Ram Singh Yadav, assistant conservator of forests (ACF) Rashid Jameel, and other senior staff. Dr. Singh said DFOs Akashdeep Badhawan (Barabanki), Anurag Priyadarshi (Gonda), and Dhanraj Meena (Shravasti) were deployed in the affected areas to lead the rescue operations. DFO Ram Singh Yadav stated that the affected areas have been divided into four sectors. Each sector was being monitored round-the-clock by dedicated teams under the supervision of sector in-charges. Two thermal drone cameras and patrolling units have been pressed into service to track animal movement. In addition, five camera traps have been installed at sensi- tive spots to capture wildlife activity. The urgency of these measures came after two children were killed and a three-year-old boy from Gandhu Jhala village remained missing after wild animal attacks....
