LUCKNOW, Aug. 11 -- A 50-year-old man allegedly climbed a high-tension electricity tower in Lucknow's Kakori area late on Sunday night after his wife refused to give him money to buy alcohol, prompting police, fire brigade and SDRF teams to launch a rescue operation, police said on Monday Police said Shivbaran, a resident of Ajitn Kheda village, climbed the tower around 11:30 p.m. On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and contacted the electricity department before calling in fire services and an SDRF team.
