Daughter of DM's driver shot dead
AGRA, June 15 -- The daughter of the district magistrate's driver was allegedly shot dead by bike-borne accused while returning from a market along with her mother, in Hathras on Saturday evening, police said.
The deceased's mother, an eyewitness to the incident, alleged that a friend of her daughter-in-law killed her daughter, police added.
According to SP Chiranjeev Nath, the incident took place near the gate of Sadar tehsil within the Hathras Gate police station limits at around 8pm on Saturday.
"Kalpita Sharma, 24, was on a two-wheeler with her mother when she was shot by two motorcycle-borne accused," Sinha said. "Kalpita's mother has alleged that her daughter-in-law Jyoti, who has been living separately with her friend Gulshan Bhardwaj for the past six months due to a dispute with her husband Vishal, shot her daughter. A case has been registered at the Hathras Gate police station and search is underway for the accused who is absconding," the SP added.
Kalpita aka Tinkal was the daughter of Rakesh Sharma, who is the driver of Hathras district magistrate Rahul Pandey. The bullet grazed past her arm and got lodged in the chest. Kalpita worked as a nurse at a government hospital in Mathura, police officials said.
Rakesh Sharma alleged that a revolver was stolen from his house recently and an FIR was lodged against a relative of Jyoti. Gulshan Bhardwaj, who is a resident of Sadabad, has been named in the FIR along with other accused, officials added....
