CS approves proposalfor filing vacant postsin Panchayati Raj dept
Lucknow, May 30 -- The Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj department on Friday presented a detailed report on its key achievements and initiatives undertaken over the last five years before chief secretary SP Goyal during a high-level review meeting here.
The presentation focused on strengthening of gram panchayats, expansion of digital governance systems, rural infrastructure development and administrative reforms implemented by the department during the period. Appreciating the department's functioning and achievements, the chief secretary approved all the proposed posts. The finance department also offered important suggestions and observations on financial matters during the meeting.
Earlier, principal secretary, panchayati raj, Anil Kumar stressed the need to fill various vacant posts for the smooth functioning of the department. He said the increasing responsibilities of the department and the need for effective implementation of schemes in rural areas required adequate human resources.
