Lucknow, Nov. 9 -- A credible voters' list is the foundation of a strong democracy, and it is the responsibility of party workers to ensure that every eligible citizen's name is included and no ineligible person's name remains in the voters' list prepared after the Election Commission's SIR process, said BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh on Saturday. Singh addressed district party presidents and assembly coordinators of the Voter Revision Campaign in Chandausi and Ghazipur on Saturday. He highlighted the importance of the campaign. Singh stressed that every effort should be made to ensure that no eligible person is left out, and no bogus voter is included. War rooms will be set up at the district and assembly levels, connected directly to the state-level war room, to effectively manage the campaign, said Singh. He stressed the need for organisational coordination and technical monitoring to make the campaign widespread. He outlined the roles of booth-level agent-1 (BLA) and BLA-2, stating that BLA-1 should maintain constant contact with BLA-2 and assist them. The BLA-2 will be the authorised representative of the BJP, and their selection should be done with utmost care, said Singh. According to BJP, a team comprising BLA-1, BLA-2, and booth-level workers will work together at the booth level, ensuring the voter revision process is accurate and reliable. HTC...
