LUCKNOW, July 27 -- A young man and a teenage woman, who were related to each other and reportedly in a relationship, were found hanging in a rented accommodation in Lucknow's Telibagh area under the PGI police station limits in the early hours of Sunday, police said. According to police statement, the incident was reported around 1 am from a house in New Baldev Vihar Colony. On reaching the spot, officers found the two hanging from separate cloth nooses tied to a ceiling fan in a rear room on the first floor of the building. "During the preliminary investigation, police found that the two wanted to get married, but their families were opposed to the relationship. The case appears to be one of suicide, though the exact cause of death will be established after the post-mortem examination and further investigation," said ACP Gosaiganj Rishabh Yadav. The bodies were taken into custody after completion of panchnama and sent to the mortuary for post-mortem, police informed. Police maintained that there was no immediate indication of foul play and that the deaths prima facie appeared to be a case of suicide.
