VARANASI, July 5 -- Police commissioner Mohit Agrawal has instructed police officers to make security arrangements at designated Kanwar Yatra routes and sensitive locations in view of the upcoming Hindu holy Sawan month beginning July 30. He also instructed officers to ensure proper barricading, lighting and CCTV coverage. Agrawal categorically instructed that cops on duty should behave well with the pilgrims. He reviewed security preparations for the upcoming Shravan month late on Friday night. The CP said priority will be given to security, smooth traffic flow and respectful behaviour with the devotees along the Kanwar Yatra routes. He told the cops to follow the mantras of crime control.
