LUCKNOW, Oct. 11 -- A museum showcasing AI-generated 3D visuals of tourist destinations across Uttar Pradesh will be developed for the Uttar Pradesh State Capital Region (UPSCR), as per an official note. The project, presented during a meeting at Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), aims to boost tourism and promote the state's cultural heritage through advanced digital technology. Also, the regional plan survey report of UPSCR was presented at the meeting. LDA vice chairman Prathamesh Kumar said a consortium of Aecom India Pvt. Ltd. and Aegis India Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed to prepare a GIS-based regional masterplan for the UPSCR. "The consortium will complete the regional plan within a year and prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for development works over the next five years," he added. The UPSCR will span 26,000 square km, covering Lucknow, Sitapur, Unnao, Hardoi, Barabanki, and Rae Bareli. Kumar said the UPSCR project will establish high-speed interconnectivity between districts through upgraded rail and road infrastructure. The improved connectivity will drive industrial and commercial development, create large-scale employment opportunities, and strengthen the state's economy. Diwakar Tripathi, the representative of Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, proposed developing an agriculture-based industrial hub along the Sitapur and Hardoi National Highways to capitalise on the region's agrarian strengths.
