PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 4 -- Following Aradhana Mishra's appointment as the new Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) president, Congress leaders in Prayagraj put up a poster carrying a political message. The poster read: "Now the Brahmin will blow the conch; Dalits, Backward Classes and Minorities will march forward." Mishra was appointed UPCC president on Friday, replacing Ajay Rai. The poster, put up by Congress state general secretary Mukund Tiwari and spokesperson Haseeb Ahmed, also carries photographs of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Pramod Tiwari. The move is being seen as an attempt by the Congress to reach out to Brahmin voters in Uttar Pradesh.
