Cong corporator questions Lko mayor's three-year report card
LUCKNOW, May 27 -- Congress corporator Mukesh Singh Chauhan on Tuesday questioned the claims made in the booklet released to mark the completion of three years of the Lucknow mayor's tenure, alleging discrepancies in civic services and GIS-based property tax assessments.
Issuing an official statement, Chauhan alleged that the LMC failed to ensure daily door-to-door garbage collection in all 110 wards despite projecting 100% collection in its report.
He also raised objection over the claim of 97% waste segregation and claimed that only a small portion of waste was actually being separated.
He alleged that the GIS survey increased house tax burdens and forced residents to repeatedly visit municipal offices to correct errors. Chauhan also questioned claims related to Smart City works, portable transfer stations and public facilities, alleging that the civic body presented an inaccurate picture of development and public services....
