Competitive exam student duped of Rs 7 lakh, FIR lodged
PRAYAGRAJ, March 9 -- A competitive exam student was allegedly cheated of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of securing him a government job and was later threatened with death when he demanded his money back. Based on the complaint of Abhay Raj Gautam, the Georgetown police have registered an FIR against a couple and several unidentified accomplices.
According to the FIR, Abhay Raj, a resident of Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, alleged that Kulbhushan Mishra took Rs 7 lakh from him, promising a government job and a contract in a department.
Abhay Raj had arranged the money by borrowing from a relative at five percent interest.
Despite waiting for a long period, neither the job nor the contract materialised. After repeated pressure, Kulbhushan allegedly returned Rs 2 lakh in cash, but two cheques-one for Rs 2 lakh and another for Rs 3 lakh-bounced.
Abhay further alleged that Kulbhushan's wife Priyanka Singh threatened him, claiming to be a relative of notorious Jaunpur shooter Munna Bajrangi.
He also stated that three to four unidentified men threatened him with a pistol when he asked for the remaining amount....
