Lucknow, June 3 -- Consolidation commissioner Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod on Tuesday directed officials to complete long-pending land consolidation proceedings and ensure publication of notifications under Section 52 within one year to conclude the process. Reviewing villages undergoing consolidation, he noted that encroachments on Gram Sabha land often delayed proceedings and affected farmers. He instructed DMs to monitor and expedite cases registered under Section 67 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code against encroachers.
