Pithoragarh, Aug. 29 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stone for 15 development projects worth over Rs.62 crore in Pithoragarh district. The projects cover sectors including health, education, drinking water, and tourism. Addressing the gathering, Dhami described the Mostamanu Mahotsav as "a symbol of our faith, belief, and rich traditions." "It is not merely a religious or traditional event but an integral part of our social and cultural life. It reflects the essence of rural life, including agriculture and animal husbandry, and helps preserve our traditions for future generations," he said. The CM highlighted the state government's efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership to promote and protect Uttarakhand's religious and cultural heritage. "We are continuously working for the overall development of Uttarakhand, reconstruction of religious sites, and preservation of our identity. Like Kedarkhand, the mythological temples of Kumaon in Manaskhand are also being revived and beautified," he said. He said the beautification work at Manaskhand's holy sites is being undertaken at a cost of around Rs.1 crore, while Haat Kalika Temple in Gangolihat will be upgraded for over Rs.6 crore....
