LUCKNOW, Aug. 25 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday instructed officials to provide an abandoned cow to a woman who expressed her desire to rear cows during a 'Janata Darshan' event in Lucknow, according to an official statement. In response to her request, the CM directed the additional chief secretary of animal husbandry to ensure she received an abandoned cow and the benefits of any applicable government schemes. In her application to the chief minister, Poonam Devi stated that she wanted to become self-reliant through cow rearing. He advised Poonam to serve the cows with devotion, as cows are regarded as the abode of 33 crore deities. He shared his own experiences, saying that if she cared for the cows sincerely, she would overcome all obstacles and hardships. Additionally, a differently-abled person, who attended the 'Janata Darshan', informed the CM that someone had illegally occupied his land.
