LUCKNOW, Sept. 2 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday praised Uttar Pradesh for its national-level achievement in ensuring transparency and inclusivity in government procurement through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). The state has received three national awards for its outstanding contribution to GeM. MSME minister Bhupendra Chaudhary, principal secretary, MSME, Shashi Bhushan Lal, and GeM state nodal officer and deputy CEO Krishna Murari met the chief minister and briefed him on the achievement, according to a government statement. UP's performance on GeM has also received recognition at the national level. Recently, at GeM's 10th Foundation Day ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal honoured UP with three national awards for its contribution to public procurement.
