LUCKNOW, Dec. 16 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed district authorities to conduct surprise inspections at paddy procurement centres to ensure smooth operations, as he held a Janata Darshan and heard grievances from people across the state. The direction came after a farmer from Shahjahanpur complained of alleged negligence at a procurement centre. The chief minister instructed administrative officials to ensure that farmers face no inconvenience and asked the district magistrate of Shahjahanpur to closely monitor procurement activities. During the session, a PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) constable also raised his concern before the CM, who forwarded the application to the concerned officer with instructions to resolve the matter appropriately. Petitioners from Prayagraj submitted their grievances, following which Adityanath directed the district and police administration to take necessary steps for their resolution.
