Lucknow, Sept. 29 -- Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief Chandrashekhar Azad on Monday responded to BSP chief Mayawati's allegation that he won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Nagina with BJP support and alleged EVM manipulation. Azad said Mayawati had earlier questioned the existence of his party, but the people of Nagina had shown their support by electing him. He said he respected Mayawati and pointed out that he secured 5,12,552 votes in the 2024 election. He said questioning the electoral process and seeking greater transparency was every citizen's right. He added that he had consistently supported greater transparency in elections and advocated voting through ballot papers. However, he said linking his Nagina victory to a conspiracy hurt the sentiments of the voters who had elected him. Azad said his politics was focused on the dignity of the Bahujan Samaj, social justice and protection of the Constitution. htc...
