CDS chauhan outlines defence Vision 2047
Lucknow, May 20 -- STRIVE India, a Lucknow-based strategic think tank comprising veteran Armed Forces personnel, hosted an interaction with the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan on Monday, where discussions focused on Defence Vision 2047 and the future transformation of India's Armed Forces.
The CDS appreciated the organisation's efforts in bringing together veterans from diverse backgrounds to promote strategic awareness, informed national security discourse and nation building. He said the experience and institutional knowledge of veterans remained an important national asset in an increasingly complex security environment.
During the interaction, the CDS highlighted the progress being made in enhancing jointness, operational integration and indigenous capability development. He said future warfare would increasingly be technology-driven, information-centric and multi-domain in nature.
Discussing theatreisation, he stressed the need for closer integration among the three Services for faster decision-making and unified operational planning.
