Catch-up Teaching drive gets July 31 deadline
LUCKNOW, July 27 -- To strengthen the 'Catch-up Teaching' campaign aimed at bridging foundational learning gaps, the state government has directed that IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials on catch-up teaching, NIPUN goals, 10 effective classroom teaching practices, and the reading campaign be displayed in all government schools, Block Resource Centres (BRCs), Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) offices, and District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) across UP by July 31, a spokesperson said. Director general of school education and state project director Monika Rani has issued instructions to assistant directors of education (Basic), DIET principals, district basic education officers, block education officers, district coordinators, SRGs, and ARPs regarding the implementation of these measures.
IEC material gives emphasis to the reading campaign, promoting regular reading activities, reading corners, book discussions, storytelling sessions, and other innovative initiatives to foster reading habits, improve language skills, and enhance children's comprehension and learning, said DG School Education Monika Rani. htc...
