Lucknow, July 7 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday carried out searches at multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh as part of a nationwide operation into the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). The searches were conducted at 26 locations across 11 states and union territories, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. The action is linked to four criminal cases registered by the agency.
