BJP to launch 'Seva Pakhwada' on PM Modi's birthday on Sept 17
Lucknow, Aug. 28 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17 by launching a fortnight-long "Seva Pakhwada," to run till October 2, with blood donation camps, health camps, cleanliness drives and other welfare programmes across Uttar Pradesh.
Announcing this in Gorakhpur on Wednesday, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh said the campaign, themed 'Nar Seva, Narayan Seva', will reach villages, towns and mohallas across the state. He was addressing a meeting of regional office-bearers, district presidents and in-charges at the party's Gorakhpur office.
Singh said that under Modi's leadership, government policies and schemes had focused on the social and economic upliftment of the poor and marginalised. "BJP is not only a political organisation but also an institution of public service that stands with society in both good and bad times," he said.
Looking ahead to the 2027 Assembly elections, Singh asked party leaders to strengthen booth-level structures, maintain regular dialogue and carry out voter verification. He said adding names of new voters and removing ineligible ones was a key responsibility of workers to ensure BJP's victory while countering opposition "lies and confusion."...
