VARANASI, Sept. 8 -- With the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections approaching, BJP national secretary and Uttar Pradesh co-in-charge Jagdish Patel on Monday asked party office-bearers to ensure that all programmes and campaigns reach the booth level. Addressing a meeting of party workers, Patel said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17 would be celebrated in a special manner this year through various service activities. Modi is also the Member of Parliament from Varanasi. Patel said October 7 will mark 25 years of Modi's public service, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister and continuing as Prime Minister. To mark the occasion, the party will organise the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' from September 17 to October 17.
