LUCKNOW, July 23 -- Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Wednesday said a strong mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh was necessary to ensure national unity, security, good governance and sustained development. Addressing 652 BJP booth presidents in Sarojininagar, he said issues such as the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), demographic changes in parts of western Uttar Pradesh and region-specific population challenges required serious policy attention. Singh said Uttar Pradesh had witnessed sustained development under the present government while law and order remained under control. "The BJP is guided by honest leadership and the ideology of 'Nation First'. A strong nation requires security, development, social harmony and the strengthening of Sanatan values," he said. Describing booth-level workers as the party's strongest organisational link with the public, Singh said they formed the foundation of the BJP's electoral success. BJP state general secretary and MLC Govind Shukla urged every booth president to enrol at least 10 new members and take the development initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and MLA Rajeshwar Singh to every household.
