Lucknow, Sept. 5 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has said that BJP is a deceptive party and it has been deceiving the public for the last one decade. Akhilesh Yadav also alleged that the BJP governments at the centre and in the state did not hesitate to deceive its own people and kept collecting money from them by imposing heavy taxes. Addressing leaders and workers who came from different districts of the state at Samajwadi Party state headquarters in Lucknow on Thursday, Yadav said, "BJP's central and state governments have been looting the public by increasing inflation for the last 10 years through faulty GST. People's pockets are being cut. Farmers, middle class, everyone has been ruined. There is a lot of anger among the public against BJP due to rising inflation and unemployment. The government kept collecting money from the public by imposing heavy taxes." The SP president further sharpened his attack on the BJP government and said, "The BJP government has caused huge damage to the environment. Rivers have not been cleaned. Indiscriminate tree-cutting and unplanned work in hilly states have created conditions of devastation. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia had started the Himalaya Bachao Abhiyan.
