LUCKNOW, Aug. 1 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party corporators who raised a red flag over fund distribution, have been made office-bearers of the corporators' wing. Dev Sharma Mishra "Munna" was appointed leader of the BJP corporator wing, Mukesh Singh Monti as chief whip, Amit Chaudhary as whip, KN Singh as treasurer and Kaumudi Tripathi as joint treasurer. Following this, these members plan to convene the first coordination meeting between corporators and senior party leaders after over two years. A party office-bearer, requesting anonymity, said, "The objective is to ensure that corporators have a common platform to raise issues and that development priorities are decided in coordination with the organisation," the leader said. The meeting, tentatively scheduled for next week, will focus on resolving pending civic issues and improving coordination between the party organisation and elected representatives. A corporator requesting anonymity revealed that this meeting may be called every month by the leadership team of the corporator wing to discuss the problems of the public arising in their area, including pending drain cleaning, irregular door-to-door waste collection, unresolved ward-level problems etc....
