Benaras flute gharana's three generations mesmerise Lucknow
India, May 30 -- Three generations of the Benaras flute gharana Prasanna family enthralled music lovers in Lucknow during the Echoes of Banaras concert, held at Kalamandapam Auditorium recently. Flute maestro Pandit Rajendra Prasanna, along with his sons Rajesh and Ritesh Prasanna and grandson Rishal Prasanna, performed during the event presented by HCL Concerts. The event began with a flute recital, presenting Raag Saraswati, followed by enchanting folk tunes from various states of India. This was followed by a shehnai and violin jugalbandi by Pandit Rajendra Prasanna and Pandit Santosh Kumar Nahar, where they jointly presented Raag Maru Behag, followed by the soulful Chap Tilak Ustad Athar Hussain accompanied the artists on the tabla, and Pandit Mangal Prasad accompanied them on Dukkad.
