Lakhimpur Kheri, Oct. 23 -- The officials and staff of the Kumbhi sugar mill were left overjoyed on Thursday evening when the mammoth 240-wheel trailer carrying a 110-foot- long and 26-foot-wide reactor from Belgium reached its destination in Kumbhi, Lakhimpur Kheri district, at around 04:00 pm. The 240-wheeled trailer with the giant vessel-a cyclisation reactor-had started its long journey from Paradip Port in Odisha on May 15 and covering its journey through four states of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, it reached its final destination at Kumbhi safe. The massive vessel imported from Belgium to Kumbhi is a cyclisation reactor, the main machine to be used in producing polylactic acid (PLA), a completely biodegradable plastic which will then be processed into PLA granules and pellets to make eco-friendly bio-degradable products....
