LUCKNOW, June 30 -- As the application window for undergraduate (UG) courses at Lucknow University officially closed on June 28, data issued by the LU's admission cell revealed that Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and integrated 5-year LLB programmes emerged as the most in-demand courses. The data compiled from registration figures for some undergraduate courses revealed that several professional and professional-allied courses recorded an unprecedented jump in application volume compared to the last academic year. The university received 6,000 applications for the BBA programme this year, compared to last year's 5,000. With only 450 seats available across the department, about 17 candidates are currently competing for a single seat. Similarly, the integrated 5-year LLB programme received 7,000 applications compared to last year's 6,500. This means 23 students will battle it out for a single seat in the law programme. Technical and specialised streams are also experiencing parallel interest: The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) course saw its application count swell from 3500 last year to nearly 3800 this year....
