Bareilly water tank collapse: Govt orders action against engINEERS
Lucknow, May 5 -- The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday terminated the services of two engineers and suspended one engineer in the case of the collapse of the under-construction water tank in Bareilly.
Seven people were injured in the collapse on Monday.
On the direction of Swatantra Dev Singh, Jal Shakti minister, an FIR has been lodged against the construction agency, NCC Limited.
Meanwhile, a departmental inquiry has been ordered against an assistant engineer posted in the Jal Nigam Rural and a show-cause notice has been issued against the executive engineer.
All employees and officers of another agency involved in the construction and monitoring of the project- TPI BLG-have been removed, and a penalty has been slapped on the agency as well.
The investigation in the matter has been entrusted to the Technical Audit Committee (TAC).
The committee will submit its report within 24 hours, officials said....
