Balloon with PIA written on ittraced in Agra IAF station area
AGRA, Feb. 16 -- A case has been registered at Shahganj police station of Agra after a suspicious balloon with Pakistan International Airlines written on it was traced near GCA building within the technical area of the Air Force Station of Agra.
Sheelendra Singh, master warrant officer/assistant security officer at Agra Air Force Station, had lodged the FIR at Shahganj police station in this regard.
"The case was registered under Section 292 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on Friday (February 13) evening after the suspicious balloon was spotted within the technical area of Air Force Station of Agra on February 12," said Gaurav Singh, assistant commissioner of police, Loha Mandi Circle, Agra Police Commission- erate, while talking to Hindustan Times on Sunday.
"The matter is under investigation in cooperation with the Air Force security official as the matter relates to restricted area," the ACP added.
The FIR (copy of which is with Hindustan Times), states that the balloon was traced at 9.45 am on February 12. It is a balloon half in green and half in white with GA written at one place and something written in Urdu.
The balloon was handed to the police for investigation. It is a 6034cm long balloon in the shape of an aircraft with thread tied to one end, the FIR says....
