Meerut, June 27 -- A 13-year-old minor was allegedly sexually assaulted at knifepoint inside her home in a village under the Jahangirabad police station jurisdiction in Bulandshahr district. The incident took place late Thursday night around 10:30 PM. Local authorities have registered a criminal case and launched an intensive search operation to apprehend the suspect. According to the police complaint, the suspect secretly climbed onto the roof of the victim's family home to gain entry. He then cornered the minor, threatened her with a knife, and committed the crime. The victim's family revealed that the suspect had been stalking and harassing the minor during her daily commutes for several days. Although the child had informed her parents about the ongoing harassment, the suspect committed the crime before the family could take preventive action. Following the incident, the victim's family filed a named complaint at the Jahangirabad police station. Given the severity of the crime, the police immediately registered an FIR under relevant legal sections, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Antriksh Jain stated that the suspect fled immediately after the crime and remains at large.
