Ayodhya to host Deepotsav from November 5-8
LUCKNOW, Sept. 4 -- The Yogi government's flagship Deepotsav celebrations will be held on a grand scale in Ayodhya from November 5-8 this year as the administration expedites preparations for the 10th edition of the event. District magistrate Shashank Tripathi chaired a review meeting on Wednesday to finalise arrangements for Deepotsav and Kartik Purnima mela.
While procession and tableaux will be taken out from Saket Mahavidyalaya, Ram Ki Paidi to Ram Katha Park will glow with diyas. Shri Ram-Sita Vandana, an exhibition, Ramleela and cultural programmes will be held at Ram Katha Park.
"Deepotsav and Parikrama-Kartik Purnima Mela are key to Ayodhya's religious-cultural identity. Providing a safe, clean, smooth environment to devotees is the priority," the DM said....
