Ayodhya seers say they should run Ram temple trust
Ayodhya, June 28 -- Seers, not bureaucrats, should be involved in running the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya-based seers have demanded in the wake of the Ram temple donation controversy.
"The Ram temple trust must have representation of seers from different sects. Appointing any bureaucrat as the CEO of the Trust will not be a wise decision as it will hurt the sentiments of seers," Mithilesh Nandini Sharan said.
Supporting the call, Mahant Dharam Das, who fought the legal battle for Ram Mandir since 1950, said, "The Ram temple trust should be run by the seers. We will not tolerate the entry of the bureaucracy in religious matters."...
