Lucknow, Oct. 19 -- The second day of the Uttar Pradesh Regional Trade Show (UPRTS), jointly organised by the department of industries and enterprise promotion, government of Uttar Pradesh, and FICCI, continued at Maharshi Mahesh Yogi Ramayana University in Ayodhya. Saturday's sessions covered a range of technical topics, including the benefits of government schemes, the empowerment of MSMEs (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises), and the role of traditional industries. The day began with a session titled "Leveraging Government Schemes by the Department of Industries and Enterprise Promotion, government of Uttar Pradesh." The keynote speaker, Umesh Chandra, joint commissioner (industries), government of UP, highlighted various state policies promoting entrepreneurship and urged business owners to take full advantage of them. He emphasised that the government is consistently implementing policy reforms to boost small and medium enterprises. The afternoon session focused on "Empowering MSMEs and Entrepreneurs through FICCI's Regional Trade Shows and Buyer-Seller Meets." The third session revolved around "Leveraging Trade Fairs for Business Growth and Cultural Promotion: FICCI's Role and Insights from the UP Government's ODOP Initiative." The day concluded with a session on "Reviving Tradition, Advancing Development: The Role of MSMEs and Khadi-Village Industries in India's Economic Transformation." The second day of the trade show served as a hub for dialogue and knowledge-sharing. Speakers collectively affirmed that UP's industrial policies, initiatives like one district one product (ODOP), and partnerships with organisations such as FICCI are together steering the state toward a new era of industrial growth.
