Avg min temp across UP to be above normal: IMD
Lucknow, April 1 -- In April, in view of the likelihood of above-normal rainfall in parts of the state-excluding the Purvanchal region-the average monthly maximum temperature is expected to remain slightly below normal in those areas, while remaining slightly above normal in Purvanchal, the Weatherman said.
Throughout the summer season (April to June), the average maximum temperatures are expected to remain above normal with the exception of the southwestern parts of the state. Consequently, the number of average hot days is likely to be higher than normal in Eastern UP and the northern Terai regions of UP. "Additionally, the average monthly minimum temperature across the state is also expected to remain above normal this summer," said Atul Kumar Singh, scientist at Lucknow Met office. As the weather is projected to remain clear from April 3 until the next potential round of rainfall in the state, a gradual rise of 2 to 3degC in temperatures is anticipated over the next 2 to 3 days....
