PRAYAGRAJ, June 17 -- The executive council (EC), the apex decision-making body of Allahabad University (AU), on Tuesday approved five new faculty appointments in the Urdu Department, besides granting promotions to five teachers under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) in the Urdu and Geography departments. The decisions were taken during an online meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sangita Srivastava. As per the approved appointments, Dr Sanjay Kumar has been selected as Associate Professor in the Urdu Department. Tahira Praveen and Shahid Malik have been appointed as Assistant Professors against posts reserved for the OBC category, while Ashutosh Srivastava and Suraj Kumar have been selected as Assistant Professors against unreserved posts.
