Hyderabad, Sept. 2 -- Assault rifles and pistols, along with magazines and ammunition, have been stolen from an Army facility in Secunderabad, Telangana, police said on Tuesday, suspecting the role of personnel on the premises. The incident came to light at around 7.50am on Monday at Bollarum. The missing weapons include four AK-203 assault rifles, a 5.56mm INSAS rifle, six 9 mm auto pistols and a 6.35 bore civilian pistol, besides 21 magazines and a passive night vision binocular - all worth around Rs 15 lakh. A case has been lodged under sections 331(4) (housebreaking by night) and 305 (aggravated theft in a public property) of the BNS.
