Silchar, July 25 -- Six more people have died in Assam due to floods, taking the death toll in the disaster to 47. According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, at least 70 to 80 people are still missing and the toll may rise further. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), four deaths were reported from Nazira in Sivasagar district and two from Mohmara in Charaideo district. ASDMA's latest report said 721,024 people across 13 districts have been affected by the floods and 24,124 have taken shelter in relief camps.
