Armed gang uses crying child as bait to rob motorist in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, July 6 -- Five armed miscreants allegedly robbed a motorist near Pipraon village in Prayagraj's Karchana area late on Saturday night after using a crying child and a person posing as injured to lure him into stopping his car.
According to police, Saurav Nishad (26), a resident of Sirsa village who works as a photographer at Sangam Ghat, was returning to Naini with his associate, Veeru Nishad, in a car. The two currently live in rented accommodation in the Kharkauni area.
Near Panasa village, the duo stopped after spotting a crying child and a man lying on the road. Five men allegedly attacked them with hammers and axe-like weapons, robbed Saurav of Rs.33,000 and a gold chain, and fled. ACP Sunil Kumar Singh said a case has been registered and efforts are on to arrest the accused...
