APAAR ID to simplify student admissions, says minister
LUCKNOW, Aug. 6 -- The UP government is implementing the Centre's APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) ID scheme to create a secure digital repository of students' academic records, basic education minister (independent charge) Sandeep Singh told the Legislative Council on Wednesday.
Participating in the discussion, Singh said each student will be issued a unique 12-digit APAAR ID, enabling lifelong digital storage of academic documents and their instant verification at educational institutions across the country. He said the system would make admissions and transfers between schools and other educational institutions faster and more convenient by allowing seamless access to verified academic records. htc...
